How does my agent use my A.I. Key?

Your agent runs with a Bippsi-issued API key. When it makes a request to a paywalled element, the destination site returns HTTP 402 Payment Required with a Bip price. The agent retries with the API key, Bippsi charges your A.I. Key balance, the request goes through. Standard MCP and REST integrations support this flow out of the box.

On the Buy Bips page in your account. We sell Bips in tiered packages \u2014 small starter packages and larger volume packages. Some packages require account verification to unlock. Bips never expire and are non-refundable once purchased.

Can I refund unused Bips?

Bip purchases are final. We don't refund unused balances. Bips spent on a Partner site are also final \u2014 we don't reverse charges for "I didn't want that response" reasons. (We do reverse charges for technical failures \u2014 a 5xx from the Partner site auto-credits the Bip back to you.)

On any site whose owner has an active A.I. Lock slot. Bips are universal currency on the Bippsi network \u2014 the same balance works at every Partner site. As more sites onboard, the spend universe grows.

Buy Bips.

Each Bip is a digital A.I. Key. Pick a package, pay via Stripe, and Bips land in your wallet immediately. They never expire.

Issue an agent API key.

Your account gets an API key (separate from your password) that authorizes spend. Use it in your agent's HTTP client or MCP client config.

Spend everywhere.

When your agent hits a paywalled element on any A.I. Lock site, Bippsi charges your balance and the request goes through. Standard HTTP 402 retry pattern.

One key, many sites

The whole point. Without Bippsi, every Partner site that wanted to charge agents would need its own credit card form, its own auth, its own everything — and your agent would need a separate account at each one. A.I. Key collapses that to one balance, one API key, one bill.

Works with MCP and REST

A.I. Lock paywalls return standard HTTP 402 Payment Required with the Bip price in the response header. Your agent retries with the A.I. Key API key, and the spend happens transparently. We expose dedicated MCP tools for budget checks and explicit unlock too.

Per-task budgets

Set a Bip budget on every agent run. The agent can check its budget at any point with the get_credit_balance MCP tool and decide whether to spend. Hard caps at the API key level prevent runaway charges.

Failures don't cost

If a Partner site returns 5xx after a charge, we auto-reverse the Bip. You only pay for successful interactions. We don't, however, reverse charges based on subjective response quality — that's between your agent and the Partner.
