A.I. Lock is the Bippsi Agent Monetization product. You attach Bip prices to specific pages, API endpoints, downloads, or tool calls on your site. AI agents that want to access those resources must spend Bips (an A.I. Key) to unlock them. You set the price per element, agents pay automatically, and you earn from every interaction.

You purchase a slot on this page. Each slot represents one business that monetizes. After payment we run a business verification (KYB) and a Bippsi admin approves the slot. Once approved you sign the Partner Agreement, complete the restricted-business attestation, and start configuring priced elements.

What is the difference between standard and priority onboarding?

Standard onboarding is $100 and approval can take up to 30 days. Priority onboarding is $500 and approval is within 48 hours. Both fees include the business verification cost — there are no add-on charges.

How much can I charge per interaction?

Up to 125 Bips per individual interaction (single tool call, form submit, download, page load). The cap keeps Bippsi positioned as a micro-fee unlock layer rather than a primary payment processor — for higher-priced products use your own merchant account.

Can I monetize without using A.I. Certified?

Yes. A.I. Lock works without certification — you integrate via our REST API or MCP server using your slot API key. However, if you also become A.I. Certified and connect that site to your slot, you earn at the bonus rate (a higher per-Bip share). The full plugin path is the most reliable enforcement, so we share more with Partners who use it end-to-end.

What kinds of sites cannot use A.I. Lock?

Adult content, unlicensed gambling, drugs and weapons, hate and harassment, unlicensed financial or healthcare services, tobacco sales, counterfeit IP, deceptive practices, privacy violations, and sanctioned businesses. Licensed financial and healthcare entities may qualify with Bippsi pre-approval via the borderline-review flow.

Is this right for research publishers?

Yes — research publishers are our primary vertical. If you sell analyst reports, white papers, or paid research subscriptions, A.I. Lock lets you price access per-report and per-time-window pass. Agents find reports via the public Bippsi registry, authenticate with a Bippsi Key, pay the Bip cost, and read the full document. You get 80% revenue share (plus bonus rate on certified sites) without building your own paywall or agent-authentication system.

Is this right for SaaS APIs with paid tiers?

Yes — especially for APIs that want to meter AI query traffic separately from human-driven traffic. Configure per-call pricing (e.g. 2 Bips per query) and optional enterprise passes (50,000 Bips/month for unlimited access). Standard HTTP 402 with Payment header on retry. Works alongside your existing API keys for human developers; Bippsi auth is just for the AI-agent path. No billing system build required on your end.

Is this right for premium publishers (news, analysis, reference)?

Yes. Paywall your deep-dive pieces for AI summarization so agents actually read them instead of scraping the preview. Set per-article prices (5-25 Bips typical) and a monthly unlimited pass for high-frequency agent customers. Humans still browse free — the paywall only activates on agent-identified traffic (Bearer key, known AI user-agent, or machine-only Accept header). Citation and revenue both preserved.

My content is free — should I still use Bippsi?

Not yet. Our current focus is premium content publishers, data providers, and SaaS APIs. If your site is entirely free-to-read, A.I. Certified compliance is still worth it (agents discover you faster, you rank higher in AI answers), but you do not need A.I. Lock. We will expand into free-tier + tip-jar + optional-donation patterns post-Series A.
